These grants are available to everybody who meets the above criteria and can save you a fortune not only in installation costs but also energy efficiency. For landlords, if you have tenants that qualify for this grant, then you ould be saving £1000's on making your home more energy efficient and in line with the new EPC legislations.
However, come April, the government will be releasing the new ECO Plus grant to help middle income households have access to grants to help make their homes more energy efficient.
Having a more energy efficient home means that your CO2 emissions will be less, therefore helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to save our planet and help with climate control.
If your home is not insulated, working off an old and inefficient boiler, or using electric heaters to heat your home, this will all be contributing to high usage in electric and gas that you are paying for each month.
You can have a warmer home and cheaper heating through the Governments ECO4 grant. This is to help you have free or subsidised access to a newer boiler, home insulation or a first time free home heating system. So you can stay warm and save money.
As part of the government's energy efficiency scheme, ECO (Energy Company Obligation) is aimed at helping people to improve the energy efficiency of their home and reduce fuel poverty throughout the UK, whilst helping homes to improve their EPC rating of D-G bands to become a C rating, more energy efficient and cheaper to run.
Through the Government’s ECO4 scheme, eligible householders AND tenants across the UK can now access a more efficient and warmer home with a new boiler.

The boiler grant is decided by how efficient your home is, the boiler’s age and is determined by an energy assessment. In some cases, a small contribution may be required.
Having good home insulation is a must for saving you money and keeping you and your home healthy!
If your home is feeling draughty when the heating is on and you find that you are having to leave the heating on for long periods of time whilst turning up the temperature and your home is still not feeling warm for long periods of time, this may be due to the hot air escaping through the walls, attic and windows of your home due to poor insulation.
